Our Pastor

Our pastor is The Rev. Canon Peter Matthews.  Peter has been married to his wife Trudi for 21 years.  He has been in vocational ministry for 23 years.

After ten years of ministry in Ames, Iowa, Peter, Trudi and their children moved to Kentucky so he could attend Asbury Theolgical Seminary. While in school, Peter worked at the Episcopal Church of the Apostles.

His time at Church of the Apostles solidified a sense of call to the Anglican tradition that he had been wrestling with since college.

After graduating from seminary with a Masters of Divinity in the summer 2003, Peter and Trudi, together with a team of 15 adults, launched Saint Patrick's Church.

Peter and Trudi have four children: Dylan (19), Rees (15), Ainsley (10) and Shelby (8). Peter loves music (especially The Beatles), plays guitar, loves movies and books.  His favorite quote is:  He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose. (Jim Elliot)
